In Islam, there’s no such belief that poop droppings bring good luck. All the rules of Islam are derived from the holy book Quran and the sayings of the Prophet (PBUH).
But there’s no mention of pigeon poop being a sign of good luck in either Hadiths or Quran.
I also checked with the renowned site for rulings in Islam called Islamqa.info, but there was nothing there as well. That’s why it’s clear that Islam doesn’t consider Pigeon poop as lucky.
02. Hinduism
Bird droppings have a huge significance in the hindu religion. For example, if a crow poops on you, it’s considered a bad omen and often a sign of your upcoming death.
However, pigeon poop is considered a sure-shot sign of good luck. They believe a pigeon blessing you with poop means something good is going to happen to you.
03. Christianity
According to Bible, pigeon poop is a symbol of prosperity. So, if you’re bestowed with pigeon poop, it proves that God cares for you.
04. Turkish Tradition
In local Turkish tradition, it’s believed that pigeon poop brings good luck. And some people go for the lottery if a pigeon drops poop on them. There are many comics about this particular tradition.
What Are the Chances of a Pigeon Pooping on Me?
Statistically, there’s very little chance of you getting pooped on by a pigeon the next time you go outside.
In a study, it was reported that in America, the chances of getting pooped by a bird is one in five million. So, the chances of getting pooped by a pigeon would be far less.
I’m in my mid 20’s and in all my life I’ve never been pooped on by a bird.
With these facts in hand, I can say with surety that it’s very unlikely to get showered with pigeon poop more than once in your life.

Don’t go and buy a lottery, that’s for sure. Because, in all probability, you’ll end up just losing your money.
If a pigeon drops poon on you, don’t think about if it’s good or bad luck, just clean it up and make sure there’s no residue of poop left on your shirt or your hair. Otherwise, it might smell.
Once you’ve cleaned up the poop, get on with your daily activities just like any other day.

Psittacosis is quite a common respiratory disease that can spread to humans from infected pigeons. So, if you see any pigeon droppings in your garden, clean them as soon as possible.
